346 Main Street Studio Rules

Studio Rules at Cone Zero 346 Main Street

Working independently at Cone Zero is for members and students currently enrolled in ongoing classes who are 18+. For everyone’s security, please do not share the door code.

Students and events get priority over facilities during class sessions; however, you are welcome to work as long as space is available. Check the Calendar page to plan your work time.

The only solvent permitted is Odorless Mineral Spirits (OMS or Gamsol).  All rags used for oil or solvents must be disposed of in the red cans under the sink for safety.  Members and students can store Gamsol jars in the yellow flammables cabinet by the sink. Member jars are disposed of every 6 months, and student jars are disposed of one week after class has ended.

Aerosols (fixative or spray paint) and wet plaster are not permitted.

All work surfaces, tables, critique walls, and the sink should be clean and clear for the next person to use.

Staff is not available for technical questions during independent work time.

Turn off all lights if you are the last person leaving.

Thank you for following these guidelines in our community studio!
