Single & Ongoing Classes Ages 16+

Single Classes are perfect for individuals who want to explore ceramics without committing, need additional guidance, or require flexibility due to a busy schedule for beginners and advanced students. You will not complete a work in this class. Multiple class sessions will be necessary to complete a piece. $40 per session, or purchase a discounted pack of Single Classes below. Clay, glaze, and 1 hour of open studio time is included with each session; firing fees are an additional 6 cents per cubic inch per piece. These classes are student-led - you come to class with a project idea or ask your instructor for a specific demo. We offer community tools, but recommend bringing your own. Ongoing Classes are taught over a series of weeks and focus on a specific topic.  Clay, glaze, and unlimited open studio time comes with ongoing courses while in session and is available from 10 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week; firing fees are an additional 6 cents per cubic inch per piece. Ongoing Classes can be rescheduled up to one week before the class start date. Most Intro classes include a beginner tool kit. We offer community tools, but recommend bringing your own, you may purchase one from our Shop page. Hand Building for the Table

Expand your hand building skills and focus on functional pottery! Building off of the basics of coiling, pinching, and slab building, we will start by designing cups and mugs and then move on to making our own bisque molds for plates and bowls. We will discuss how to make dinnerware pieces that are in conversion with one another and how to develop your unique design sense. Glazing will also be covered. A tool kit is not included in this class. We have community tools available, but a personal tool kit is recommended. Intro to the Wheel

Learn the basics of wheel throwing. Learn to center, throw a cylinder form, a bowl, trim, attach handles, and glaze. A tool kit comes with this intro-level class. Use the code TOOLS if you do not need a tool kit to take $15 off.

Intermediate Wheel

Take your wheel thrown forms to the next level. Learn intermediate wheel techniques like throwing multiples off the hump, throwing closed forms, joining pieces thrown in multiple parts, throwing double walled forms, and creating altered forms that begin on the wheel. Wheel experience is required. A tool kit is not included in this class. We have community tools available, but a personal tool kit is recommended. Tiles

$200 |  May 5 - June 9 | 6 - 8 pm | Monday evenings with Casey  | 5 weeks with no class on Memorial Day May 26

Looking to upgrade your backsplash? Join us for this 5-week course to design and make your own tiles! This class will incorporate multiple tile making techniques, including creating bisque molds for sculptural tiles, learning techniques to help your tiles dry flat, and creating mosaics to add detail to tile projects. A tool kit is not included in this class. We have community tools available, but a personal tool kit is recommended. You may purchase one at checkout or from our Shop page.
