In this 6-week introductory course, students will learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice, you’ll explore centering, pulling walls, and shaping forms on the wheel. This class is ideal for beginners or anyone looking to build a strong foundation on the wheel.
Students will have time each week to practice, experiment, and build confidence with individualized guidance and feedback. You’ll leave with a selection of finished pieces and a deeper understanding of core wheel techniques.
Clay, glaze, and unlimited open studio time (10am–8pm, 7 days a week) are included while the class is in session. Firing fees are additional at $0.06 per cubic inch per piece. Most intro classes include a beginner tool kit.
